Presentación

In this course, we will explore in depth additive manufacturing, a revolutionary technology that is transforming multiple industries.

We will start with a general introduction and an overview of topological optimisation, and then delve into the most relevant technologies for the additive manufacturing of plastics and other materials. Throughout the course, we will look at the different types of materials used, their formats and the development and modification processes before, during and after manufacturing. We will also deal with printing parameters, the main defects and their solutions, as well as the treatment and finishing of 3D parts. Finally, we will show the new trends in additive manufacturing technologies and their impact on key sectors such as health, mobility, architecture and design, and energy.
